In the first of two painting contests/competitions/events I entered this month, I took a very important first step: I misread the event date and immediately started working on something else.

20260331 March Painting Wrap Up

March Monthly Painting Wrap Up

It’s everyone’s favorite day of the month! Where I tell you how I spent my time.

20260228 Feb Wrap Up

February Monthly Painting Wrap Up

This was truely the month of “what can I do in order to not have to paint Forgeworld models?” The answer is, a lot of little things.

20260129 Psych

I lied

Turns out I was able to crank out one more painted model during a conference call.

20260129 Jan Wrap Up

January Monthly Painting Wrap Up

I admit I’m writing this a little before the end of the month, but I’m also realistic I’m not going to finish anything new in the next two days. The first month of “no buy, all paint” 2026 was off to a good start.

20260118 End of the Line

End of the line(players)

And with these final two, numbers 15 and 16, I finish the linesplayers for the Skaville Skablins. Which leads me to only have specialist positionals to work on now. Probably starting with the bomber, but don’t hold me to that.

It is also here where I realized my terrible mistake in team-building. I haven’t actually played my first game yet, but I realized my team has 3 secret weapons players and only 3 bribes to start with. So I can either play all my secret weapons for two drives and them lose them all, play 3 for one drive, then 1 for two more drives, then I’m down 3 players. It’s really a lesson learned on how to play Goblins that I’m learning the hard way. Oh well.

20260109 First Blood

Unreal Tournament Voice

First Blood (or paint)

At the end of December, I was really pumped to start painting immedately after the start of year so I could start racking up the points on my fake, made up paint points chart. I didn’t get a good start until I recovered from the ‘vid, which I contracted over the holiday.

But I finally got paint on models and put a few points up on the board. With the upcoming Blood Bowl League, all my attention right now is to paint the rest of the Skaville Skablins. So I finished up two goblin linesplayers for the Skaville Skablins, players number 13 and 14. They don’t currently have names as the starting lineup for the Skablins only goes up to player #11, but I’m painting all the linesplayers in anticipation of buying out all the available positions. Finishing number #14 means I have two more linesplayers to paint (#15 and #16) and then on to painting the specialist positionals. 10 down, 8 to go.
