Whoa we’re halfway there

And until like the last week of the month I hadn’t gotten anything done at all.

The merry month of June

As in previous months, the June painting theme was “veterans,” or expanded upon, “battle damange, weathering, or maybe an ork that found a new shiny on the battlefield.”

I initially had a couple of ideas for this - some well worn terrain, or perhaps my “C-Scale” extra lorge Timberwolf/Mad Cat Battletech miniature. After all, I already had some terrain with battle damange on it, primed and ready to go.

Ultimately I decided on something a little more involved. Something a little more… Gasland-y.

Another May day, another May dollar? Anyway, another month in the painting books. This time I did specifically clock my painting time from the beginning of the month, as mentioned here but more on that later.

I finally managed to finish the starting lineup for the Skaville Skablins, completing the Bomma, Doom Diver, and Pogo back to back to back. I say starting lineup, because there’s room on the roster for a second Troll, but a second troll was never part of the initial team build.

April is the cruelest month

…because it’s the month of the Skaven.

But more on that in a bit.

The dictionary defines decay as…

The April painting theme being “Bloom and Decay,” or bloom or decay, or bloom and decay and there and back again, I opted to incorporate both decay and bloom in this Blood Bowl Treeman - both the slow decay of a dying tree, the blooming of new flowers on the base, and the cycle of death and regrowth through the changing of the leaves. (That’s three “boths” but stick with me here.)
