About a year ago, I had the crazy idea of making my own Zine. This is the burning wreckage of that experience.

Okay maybe it’s not that dramatic. But I did dabble in zine making. Zining, if you will. At the time I attended a lot of house shows (band-wise) for photography and thought that would be the outlet I could use to get my zine into the world. I got about 80% completed and then completely dropped the ball. No zine, didn’t even attend the house show in question.

I figured I’d start small - a 16 page count, a cover, and something I could ideally create with my home scanner and print anywhere and staple together. Lots of print/cut/tape/scan workflow.

I still think it’d be interesting to do, but it’s definitely a backburner idea for now. Instead, here’s the zine layout I had, just as it was abandoned, blank unfinished pages included (the original idea is those pages would be content from some friends but the project never got that far).

Starting with the cover (no rear cover design).

I would like to try this again in the future. Maybe without giving myself a deadline so I don’t feel pressured to finish, and then abandon because the deadline is impossible.
